The weekend has come and gone and I have so many books left over for review from my month theme. Therefore, I’m going to be experimenting with the idea of mini reviews. Let me know what you think!
Eveline and the rest of her classmates are discussing what fun activity they will do to tell their mother how much they appreciate them. It’s a fun, multicultural and no student has the same story which is great for any reader who is looking for ideas on what to do for their own mother. Another fun addition is there is a craft tutorial on making a tissue paper flower. (3 Stars)
Great book. It was nice to see read something with no associated names. That means when the book is narrated the child will feel more attentive or even special because the word ‘child’ replaces any name that could be the character. I think this would be a great hit because read aloud between mother and child. (4 Stars)
Cute and quirky and full of little funnies. An ideal starter chapter book. The cooperation of young siblings as they work together to make the best mother’s day present ever. (4 Stars)
An adorable relationship between cub and momma bear
as he narrates a great day he has spending it with his mum. Rhyme and rhythm is nearly sing-song; a padded cover and boardbook style will be an easy bedtime read for any child. (3 Stars)
Another humorous beginners chapter book. Henry and Dad are preparing a special lunch for Mom. We are led through the preparation stage and watching as Dad, Mudge and Henry do the shopping for the food supplies they would require and then the preparation. Needless to say Mom was very happy with her delicious, crafty lunch. (3 Stars)
