I’m terribly sad to see this series end, but I loved every second of Sophronia’s adventures at Madame Geraldine’s. The great grande finale of the Finishing School series is Sophronia is basic a major heroine, not like she has been in the past where she just so happens to be at the wrong place at the right time, but in fact is exactly where she needs to be in that moment.

The Picklemen are up to no good and are targeting the school, but for what nefarious purpose remains to be disclosed. But Sophronia takes it upon herself to help save the school from disaster. Sending her friends on a wild chase to get help from a few well-known supernaturals, Sophronia takes all her training and does everything in her power to take control.

Girlpower. Steampunk. Deceit. This book has it all, with a hint of romance *cough* Soap *cough* [insertsqueehere] but I thoroughly enjoyed the plot and the overall story with reoccurring characters and sudden unexpected twists.  Definitely has been a fun ride and I look forward to future works by Gail Carriger of the YA genre.

Have you finished the series? What are your thoughts? Would you have ended it differently?
